EKWC was a blast, hot as hell but still a great amount of fun.
But lets talk about the heat for a little bit; now I dont know how hot it truly was but I will tell you this. Nothing you could have done would have kept you cool yesterday. Even butting my shield over my helm didn’t help one bit. The sun was Strong, the humidity was high and the tempter was out of control. I like many others ended up dehydrated, and I was set back in my place by the ladies of the house hold (nurses) that I wasn’t allowed to head back out for pick ups. I felt lame, childish, and weak but unfortunately it was the “right” thing to do but that is not the way to show you commitment to your kingdom or your team.
For the day run down: I fought in th speed tournament at EKWC, did well placed second. Had some great fights and fought some good guys. As always everyone I fought that day was honorable and good heart fighters, and mostly that is what I want in a day. To fight a bunch of people who love what they are doing and how they are doing it.
So, placing second means I got the opportunity to lead one of the sides. To divide the teams up th play grounds rules were elected. So I got second pick and took my own house hold (Serpentius) and than Blood Guard. After those two picks I pretty much chose the two biggest houses there that day. Thus, the other team got the rest mostly. I would like to say I truly enjoy fighting with Blood Guard, they are a great group of guys and everyone of them fight till they cant stand any longer and that is all anyone can ask of an other fighter. It is and has been my honor to fight with these guys and train with them weekly.
Over all, everyone fought well and kicked butt, I learned so very much about strategy and what needs to happen during a battle. I would have to say, I know so very little about this. But both there Graces were as all ways patient and explained everyone every detail I didn’t know was explained great. They are both great men and always extremely great to me. Thank you both very much.
The highlight of my day was to be offered a place on the unbelted team this year. This was amazing and is greatly exciting for me. I hope and I have trained to be able to do this team honor and my house hold the honor to hold my head high, hit hard, and move swiftly to my targets. This is why we train and I push myself so hard. I am humbled by this opportunity.
