Well Pennsic is coming and everyone is starting to think about war.  The troops are as trained as I think we will be, and our unit has stabilized as much as it is going to right up till war.  We are healthy for the most part, and everyone is in high hopes of this war.  I think Serpentius might Field between 20 and 30 armoured bodies this year.  We are going to have a better mix of weapons this year and I am hoping the boss lets me command this year. 

The Barracks are set up! We have it all paid for and we have eight heads chillen in there.  We (the barrack guys) are catching alot of slack from outside people that dont understand us or our SCA stuff.  We are fighters, we come to Pennsic to throw stick, sleep and eat.  Between us we have all the girlfriend,ex- girlfriend, baby moma, wife and other drama we can handle and we dont need to add to any of that.    For me the SCA is not a place to pick up women or to find women, it is my place to test and show my metal and to hang out with the people that are dear to me. 

Also, my garb I think is in a better place this year as well!  I have 3 extra tunics and some other garb!  And a bunch of them look the same-ish ( i know many people would be upset but to be that is great) and it is going to be an easy war in that aseptic. 

Final, I just re-covered my shield for war.  I went with the house hold colors and I need to paint the serpent on the shield.  I think the painting is going to happen this week or maybe next week.  We will see and when I get it finished I will post a pic of it here. This time I used spray adhesive, big mistake the glue job sucks and will most likely not last for the whole war.  As it gos, I am going to suck it up and play!
