As things go

In the Last 3 or 4 months I have had many many things happen to my SCA life that I never would have guessed could have happened.  And I couldn’texplain how great and amazingit feels to be were I am at right now in everything SCA, I am building stronger and better relationships with people, enjoying every moment of my fighting and court life and to be honest I have never enjoyed myself so fully in about 10 years.

I guess the run down would work something like this, back a few months I was asked to be on the Queens Guard.  At first I was un-controllablely nervous about that whole thing.  As you know or may not know; my people skills are much better in small group or one on one than it is understanding what a whole group thinks is the right thing at the right moment.  It got worked out and I recieved a monumental amount of help from D. Sebastian. This guys is a monster of a great man! He is just a great guy and willing to give to no end. 

After D.Sebastian directions and aid I started to get the hang of being on the QG and rocken skulls.  Than at Kings and Queens rattan Champs I was offered a great and humble honor; I was placed as the Queens Champ.  I cant tell you how surprised and honored I was and still am about this!  I have been told that my face was priceless when they offered this honor to me.  And to be honest I wouldnt have guessed that they were going to call my name at all!  I didnt do anything that day that I normally wouldnt have done, I fight the way I fight.  I hit hard, take light and crush skulls when they let me.   I try to have fun and when I step in the list I hope that my fun transfers to the other guy, so everyone leaves that day feeling great about them selves.  Either way, I am and was floating on cloud 9.

Than at War of the Roses I got my little melon crushed .  I being as super large stupid butt hole decided it was a great idea to charge a sheild men, when I was fighting spear.  Let me tell you I have had some stupid Ideas before but this one takes the cake! I dont lay a single ounce of blame on Kettel! He is a great and honorable guy and I would have rather been hit by a guy I know than I guy I dont.  But either way, I got hit in the neck (were it missed my armour) and it sent me to the ropes.  Instead of sitting the rest of the day out, I deside to get my sheild and go back out there.  Not my smartest moment in life.  After an other hour I got clocked good and hard by a pole, that made me go sit down.  The end resolute was: Go home and let your brain heal!  And the boss over rule me and told me we were heading home.  Smart idea and the right one to make, I dont think I would have disagreed with anything he said at that point.

War of the Roses was a blast other wise as always, my knight took better care of me than I could ever ask!  He is a great man and anyone that thinks different will be shut the hell up, and quickly.  That is all I have to say on that subject.  And I added a pic because I like it (when I get home tonight).

On that Note!!!!  I NEED MY NEW HELM, I have been a good dude waiting for about 8 months and I now I am ina situation were I need one.  When I ordered it I was at the stage of “wanting” now I am at ‘Need”.  So, I am hoping I see the helm soonish

 That is life as it gos as of now! Working hard, fighting harder and having more fun than ever.
